I began a personal blog in 2010 with the main intent to share stories and photos with family and friends. The blog evolved from there into a more focused effort to combine a couple of my favorite things; those being food and photography. And so Nostalgic Kitchen was born in April 2012.
The idea for the name “Nostalgic Kitchen” was inspired by a quirky interest in old cookbooks. I can’t say I have a large collection of old cookbooks, but it is growing. I’ve been given a few and occasionally I’ll find some online to order. I just think it’s fun to see how things have changed over the years.
On this site, first and foremost, I will be posting my favorite recipes… and maybe the odd disaster if someone else might find it entertaining.
